The Gilded Swan is an upmarket tavern in Durvish City known for its ostentatious display of wealth.

Description

The building is covered in finery, including gold leaf and stained glass windows. The rear features a garden with a pond containing waterfowl.

The Investigation

The party investigated this location based on a clue from the Encoded Letters (“Location the third bush. East of the gilded swan’s nest”).

• The Magical Bush: A non-native bush was found growing rapidly up the side of the building, blocking windows. It regenerated instantly when cut or damaged. Temerity eventually polymorphed into a giant ape to uproot it, revealing an extensive root system.
• The Prank: Mary-Ann discovered a group of children hiding in the bushes. They revealed they had been hired by a cloaked figure to “egg the place” once the plants covered the windows.
