Dave was a member of the bandit raiding party encountered by the party in the woods north of Avalon. He was the sole survivor of the initial skirmish in the forest clearing.

Biography & Personality

Dave was a highwayman serving under an experienced bandit captain. During the ambush against the party, he demonstrated notable competence by successfully de-summoning the pseudodragon Runcible before the rest of his crew was decimated by Lavender’s rage. Unlike his companions, Dave was initially spared when Temerity intervened to calm the paladin.

During his interrogation, Dave revealed a code of conduct, claiming that while he had hurt people and stolen from the wealthy, he had never killed anyone. He provided the party with the critical lead that his companion Brian had seen a “large, flying, squawking thing” heading north. Despite being offered a chance to return to Avalon and live an honest life, Dave refused to go back. To spare Lavender the moral burden of another kill, Temerity executed Dave with a light crossbow bolt to the base of the skull.
