The Elven Wizard is a confident mage and researcher aligned with The Displaced. We encountered him in the research area of the Displaced Camp.
Overview
He appears to hold a position of respect or authority within the magical division of the camp. We first observed him in the research area, surrounded by various instruments and overseeing other magic users. He exudes confidence and possesses knowledge of ancient and obscure magics.
Interactions
Knowledge of the Great Old Ones
When Theren approached him seeking information about his patron, the wizard tested him by asking him to strike a target. upon seeing the golden light of Theren’s eldritch blast, the wizard immediately recognized the power signature.
He revealed several key pieces of information regarding Theren’s patron:
- The patron is a Great Old One.
- Gold is the patron’s signature colour.
- The patron’s name is unknown, even to those he gifts with power.
- He has not seen this specific power in a “very long time”.
- The journey to find this patron would be solitary and extremely difficult.
Training
At Lavender’s request, the wizard facilitated a combat training session for Theren and Temerity. He summoned two water elementals for them to fight. When the party was defeated and knocked unconscious, he dismissed the elementals instantly. He attempted to speak to Theren after the failed training, but Theren ignored him.
