Displaced Camp

The Displaced Camp is a hidden, subterranean settlement located deep within the mountains of The Frost. It currently serves as the base of operations for The Displaced.
Overview
We discovered this location after being captured in the spider tunnels north of the mountains. It is a massive main cavern described as a “mini underground city”. Despite being deep underground, the area is brilliantly lit with torches. The architecture is chaotic and “hodge-podge,” suggesting a settlement built quickly out of necessity, yet it functions effectively as both a home and a military base.
One of the guards referred to the cavern as “the place of wandering souls”.
Layout & Facilities
The cavern is divided into several functional areas:
- The Cages: Located in a dismal corner of the cavern, these holding cells are reinforced with magical protections to contain prisoners.
- Training Grounds:
- Martial Training: An area where soldiers practice with twin blades, claymores, axes, and halberds.
- Arcane Research: A section dedicated to magic, containing alchemy stations and research instruments. Theren observed sorcerers training and halflings working at alchemy benches here.
- Command Centre:
- Bromelia’s Study: A modest room with a sofa where Lady Bromelia conducts private meetings.
- War Room: Contains a large map tracking the locations of the few allies and many enemies of The Displaced.
- Living Areas: The camp includes sleeping quarters and a canteen serving simple provisions like bread, cheese, and cured meats.
Inhabitants
The camp hosts a diverse population of races including orcs, half-orcs, dragonborn, humans, halflings, gnomes, and elves. The demographic is strikingly young - mostly young adults and some babies, with a complete absence of elderly people.
Notable NPCs
- Lady Bromelia: The leader of The Displaced.
- Elven Wizard: A confident magic user in the research area who identified the nature of Theren’s patron.
