Biography & Personality
The Ice Dragon was a highly aggressive and territorial juvenile white dragon. It maintained a lair at a flat mountain summit littered with the bones and carcasses of its prey, including numerous ice wolves that it had hunted and killed. The creature viewed any intrusion into its territory as a direct challenge, responding with immediate and lethal force.
In combat, it relied on its ability to fly and a devastating icy breath that could render opponents unconscious instantly. It displayed a feral intelligence, focused on eliminating the most vocal or irritating threats first, and bellowed challenges to those it deemed trespassers.
Campaign History
- Entry 07 (The Dragon Battle): The party discovers a summit covered in bones and excavated into a living space. The dragon lands and bellows a challenge for trespassing in its lair. During the ensuing combat, the dragon’s icy breath knocks Theren unconscious and severely damages the rest of the party. Lavender eventually finds an opening when the dragon perches near Temerity; she charges, leaping to plunge her sword through its eye and skewering its skull to the ground.
- Entry 08 (Looting and Poisoning): After the dragon’s death, Theren attempts to harvest its teeth, successfully retrieving three before becoming exhausted. Temerity hacks off the dragon’s tail and slices it into steaks for a feast. While the meat was considered potentially powerful, it was unevenly cooked and toxic to most of the group, causing Temerity, Theren, and Guido to suffer severe food poisoning, including stomach cramps and shivering.
