Orion is a disciplined monk of The Order of the Ancient Fable who joined the party in Mightrest and served as a stalwart companion until his disappearance during the approach to Arcadia.

Biography & Personality

Orion is an “incongruous” figure whose body is almost entirely covered in cloth wraps scribed with various languages and story phrases. As a member of his Order, he adheres to the mantra that “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.” He is a focused, serious, and often quiet individual who frequently spends his downtime meditating.

Though his introduction to the party was violent - culminating in him punching Temerity in the stomach - Orion eventually developed a deep bond with the group. He is a lethal combatant who utilizes “fists of fury” and stunning energy to incapacitate his foes, often acting as a front-line defender alongside Lavender.

Campaign History

• Entry 03 (The Incongruous Monk): Discovered in Mightrest investigating the disappearance of his fellow monks. After a brief confrontation with the party, he was captured and eventually agreed to join them when their goals aligned.
• Entry 04 (The Vampire’s Fall): Assisted in the assault on the Vampire Mansion, using a flurry of blows to pummel the Vampire Lord and protect a wounded Temerity.
• Entry 05 (The Ice Troll Battle): Aided the group in entering Auriel’s Church and was mortally wounded during the confrontation with an ice troll.
• Entry 06 (The Wolf Hunt): Participated in a grueling battle against massive Ice Wolves in the Alpine Forest, nearly dying to their cold breath.
• Entry 07 (The Dragon’s Nest): Fought the juvenile Ice Dragon, providing critical aid to a fallen Theren despite the creature’s dangerous breath attacks.
• Entry 08 (The Gladiator’s Trial): Challenged the Gladiator Wight in the amphitheatre, suffering significant necrotic damage before Lavender’s disappearance.
• Entry 09 (Guidance in the Dark): After Lavender’s disappearance, Orion took charge in the absolute darkness of the trial tunnels, allowing Temerity to hold his tail to find the way forward.
• Entry 10 (The Spider Cave): Assisted in clearing a chamber of massive spiders and witnessed the summoning of Chikatika.
• Entry 11 (The Displaced): Captured by “wandering souls” and brought to the hidden camp of The Displaced, where he eventually escaped into the shadows to write to his order.
• Entry 14 (The Departure): Rejoined the party and committed to traveling with them to Arcadia. He claimed he was “taking charge” because the group needed leadership, but he has not been seen since the group entered the city limits.
