Summoned via a ritual involving spider blood, she bears a green collar identifying her as a “Wild Wanderer” and acts as a conduit for arcane power, frequently augmenting Temerity’s spells while providing firm, often physical, discipline to her master.

Biography & Personality

Chikatika is characterized by a maternal yet “bossy” temperament. Unlike typical familiars, she does not hesitate to reprimand Temerity by smacking him on the head, pulling his hair, or “chuntering” disapprovingly when he behaves foolishly. Despite her prickly exterior toward the bard, she is deeply affectionate toward other animals in the menagerie, often petting Korako or Aurius to soothe them.

She possesses a high degree of intelligence and magical potency. She has demonstrated the ability to understand complex plans, communicate telepathically with Theren, and channel divine or primal energy. Her presence often results in a “green radiance” that enhances the party’s magical efforts.

• Entry 10 (The Summoning): Chikatika is summoned in a spider cave after Temerity uses spider blood to create a magic circle. She emerges with a green collar and immediately pats Korako on the head.
• Entry 11 (Armour Grafting): She “helps” Temerity graft spider carapaces onto Theren’s armour, though she ends up biting Temerity several times and befriending Theren instead.
• Entry 15 (Immolating the Fallen): Outside Arcadia, Chikatika channels a green radiance that immolates a pile of fallen guards, burning them to ash to prevent necromantic reanimation.
