Guardsman Floyd is a drow member of the City Guard in Avalon, currently stationed at the city’s northern perimeter.

Biography & Personality

Guardsman Floyd is a professional and observant sentry who maintains a stern exterior when dealing with travelers. Like many guards in the capital, he is initially unimpressed by the florid speech and eccentric behavior of adventurers. However, he possesses a soft spot for small creatures, particularly rabbits, which can be leveraged to gain his cooperation. Despite his professional demeanor, he maintains a healthy level of suspicion toward chaotic individuals.

Campaign History

• Entry 03 (Gate Duty): Stationed at the North City Gate of Avalon with a fellow drow guard. While his companion was driven to a “fit of delirium” and ran off into the forest after seeing Korako, Floyd remained at his post. He initially resisted Temerity’s effusive manner but became cooperative once Lavender revealed her noble status.
• Entry 03 (Providing Intel): Informed the party that stolen magical goods were being unloaded on the quayside. He also confirmed that he had seen a tiefling merchant pass through the gate heading toward the harbor. Before the party left, he pointedly warned Temerity that he would be “keeping an eye” on him.

Key Relationships

• Lavender: Respectful toward her due to her noble standing, which influenced his decision to provide assistance to the party.
• Temerity: Highly suspicious of the bard’s antics and made a point to warn him of continued surveillance.
• Korako: Found the rabbit impressive enough to allow it as a sign of the party’s trustworthiness, though he was less susceptible to its “cute effect” than his fellow guard.
