Biography & Personality
The merchant is a resilient individual who survived a violent assault by highwaymen. He was found trapped beneath a heavy wooden beam in the wreckage of his destroyed cart. Despite his harrowing experience and the loss of all his worldly goods, he remained polite and pleaded for his life when initially confronted by the party’s weapons. He demonstrated a clear sense of desperation, begging the adventurers to retrieve his stolen inventory.
Campaign History
- Entry 02 (The Wreckage): Discovered by the party on the road to Frostpeak Pass. He was trapped under a beam in the ruins of his cart, which had been ripped to pieces by attackers who “came out of nowhere.”
- Entry 02 (The Rescue): Freed by Lavender, who used her rage to heft the heavy beam off him. After being checked for injuries, he informed the group that dark-clothed people had taken his magical items and shipped them east toward the river.
- Entry 02 (Safe Haven): Instructed by the party to wait for them at the north gate of Avalon while they pursued his stolen goods.
- Entry 03 (The Disappearance): When the party returned to the north gate of Avalon, the merchant was nowhere to be found. This led Temerity to surmise the merchant was “shifty” and that the entire encounter may have been a trap, though Lavender and Theren elected to abandon the search for him.
