The Crystal Elemental is a unique elemental entity composed of jagged crystals and swirling dust.
Description
We encountered this creature in a dark cave on the outskirts of Midward. It manifested as a huge formation of crystals surrounded by a “whirlwind of crystal dust”. It emits a menacing screech described as sounding like “fingernails on a blackboard”.
Abilities & Traits
- Crystal Shards: It can fire sharp crystal shards at its enemies as a ranged attack.
- Slam: It possesses a powerful slam attack.
- Defences: It appears highly resistant to force damage; Theren’s agonising blast merely “pinged off” its crystals.
- Weaknesses: It is vulnerable to thunder damage. A shatter spell caused several of its crystals to explode, inflicting significant pain and damage.
Our Experience
We tracked this elemental to its lair after a local farmer reported his rams were being savaged. The corpses showed jagged cuts inconsistent with normal animal attacks.
During the battle, the elemental proved dangerous, damaging Gage and Lavender with both slam attacks and fired shards. We discovered that shattering its form was key to defeating it. Anaphel finished it off by freezing the crystals with toll the dead, after which a tap from their sword caused the entity to shatter completely.
We harvested crystal shards and crystal dust from its remains.
