According to Lyra, Sargonnas (as the Master of Ash) seeks to destroy his competition - specifically the goddess Auriel - to tip the cosmic scales of balance in his favour. He is described as being more powerful than can be imagined, a being who seeks total control and the fulfilment of his vengeance. His followers utilize fire-based weaponry, such as flame cannons and fiery whips, and are surrounded by an intense heat that reflects his divine domain.
